BRICK, NJ — Brick Township dog and cat owners have until Jan. 31 to get their pets licensed for 2021.
The township clerk's office issued the reminder about licensing requirements, which apply to animals that are 7 months or older. A certificate showing a valid rabies vaccination is required.
Licenses can be obtained by mail; for a one-year license, the rabies vaccination must be current through November 2021. A three-year license can be obtained if the rabies vaccination is good through November 2023.
A letter from your veterinarian confirming that your dog or cat has been spayed or neutered must be included as well.
If requesting by mail, please include the rabies certificate and a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
Licenses can be renewed in person at the township municipal building at 401 Chambers Bridge Road. The offices are open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The license fees are as follows. Pay by check via mail, or by cash or credit (no American Express) in person.
There is an administrative charge of $1 per month for any dog or cat registered after Jan. 31.
The township's annual free rabies clinic will be held Feb. 21 at the Drum Point Sports Complex. Registration will be required; registration information will be shared in the coming weeks.
